Police arrest police officers for extortion of USDT 3,000 in Rivers

The Rivers State Police Command has arrested and detained some of its police officers for allegedly extorting USDT 3,000 from a resident of Port Harcourt.

Early on Friday evening, a user posted him in Rivers State, Bayelsa, and finally reached Ughelli, Delta State. After paying $3,000, they took him back to Port Harcourt and dumped him there.

She later acknowledged the incident and said she would publish the results of the investigation once it was completed.

The police officer was identified and arrested during the investigation.

Results will be published as soon as they are completed.

However, when contacted for further information, she declined to confirm how many officers had been arrested or whether she had been able to contact the victim.
