A joint team of police officers and Nigerian soldiers rescued kidnapped victims in Kaduna state on Saturday, according to the Federal Capital Police Command.

The victims were said to have been abducted on January 2, 2024 at Zuma 1 area, Kau, Bwari Local Council, Abuja.

An FCT police spokesperson confirmed the rescue of the victim in a statement on Sunday. Josephine Ade said emergency response forces successfully rescued the victim around 11:30pm on Saturday around Kajuru Forest in Kaduna State.

Following the recent inauguration of the Special Intervention Squad (SIS) by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, the police in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have arrested 16 notorious criminals and seized arms and ammunition.
