PDP government calls for state police as Nigeria is almost becoming Venezuela.”

Opposition governors complained about the high cost of living in the country and the value of the naira.

Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday reiterated their position on the state police as a solution to the deteriorating security situation in the country.

After the governors meeting in Abuja, Forum Chairman Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed explained this to reporter.

“We have worked together as an opposition party to stay out of the way, but monetary policy and economic policy remains in place and the majority of Nigerians… We know that many people live in the state of Nigeria. That is why we are working within the Nigeria Governors Forum and at the National Economic Council to ensure that we mitigate the impact of these measures that have far-reaching implications for our people.
